Shelly takes us on a poetry journey, cementing art's role in her life and beyond. Art for healing, community, and more. She will weave stories of her work in Toronto's art and culture scene, from working with adults and children to working with artists and the city. Her set will be in exploration of arts, community and exploration. Pamela reads from both books that she has recently published, de book of Joseph (Mawenzi House, June 2022) and A Fierce Green Place (New Directions, May 2022). She reads from the poems, for the most part, though makes explanatory comments and provides context when necessary.
